Evil Dead II

This pick is a artistic masterpiece. With writer / director Samual Rami and star Bruce Campbell this horror movie is a cult hit. It ties every aspect of classic, gore, and humor into one horror flick, and all done on a low budget. You can't but watch this movie just once. You need and want to view it again and again to remember every line of the movie, just like Rocky Horror, the only difference is that you would bring blood and body parts and throw them at the screen at a midnight showing.

Ash, the main and indestructable main character goes to a summer cabin with a few of his friends (including his girlfriend) only to find that an evil demon has been released by the x-owner of the cabin by reading exerpts from the book of the dead. Ash takes a horrible and disfiguring beating from a number of friends who were transformed by the demons, including his girlfriend who he chops up into many pieces, then tries to convince himself that he is perfectly sane.

I can't say it enough but the cinematography is superb and with the combination of blood, gore, and humor, this is obviously the ideal movie for a first date.

Subspecies III: Bloodlust

Radu who is from a crazed family of Vampires has now killed his father and well on the way to killing his mother to attain the powers of the Bloodstone for him self. That is meerly not enough. He needs a 'Lover' and I say that sceptically. Yes he needs someone but you can't call it a lover. This creature does not make love, however he is driven to have the woman of the second cumming of Mary and share his soul with her. He gets more pleasure from sharing the oozing blood of a perishing victim and from sharing the lactating sanguine from his pasty pores than from the dermatolicical penetration of ectacy. I must say Full Moon Entertainment has done it once again. I have to interlude and say that one of the main characters 'Mel Thompson' is the name of a physician that I work with. I get great amusement out of this, in particular because his speciality maintains the pump of the treasured crimson nector. The gore in this flick is unsurpassed and touts a desire to walk among the pleasures of the soul, not the flesh. You will feel that sence of loss when Radu loses his eternal meld with his desired soul mate; however, do not sadden for I am now awaiting part IV.

Dead Alive

An infected Rat Monkey is brought from a desert island to a zoo in New Zealand. Lionel brings his new girlfriend Paquita to the zoo. His deranged jealous mother follows him through the zoo undercover in the bushes, but oops she gets too close the the rat monkey's cage and gets bitten. Lionell tries to hide his mother from the public as she turns into a lactating pustule sort of zombie. In the mean time, anyone she bites turns into a zombie of sorts. Lionell can only hide the zombies from Paquita for so long until they both find themselves fighting the zombies during a party at Lionell's were everyone has succumbed to an eventual bite. Also known as Brain Dead this is by far the bloodiest movie ever made. Tons of great gore scenes all create humorous undertones. To top it all Lionell goes on a rampage with a lawn mower creating the largest blood bath in the horror genera.
